Bodle Street Green - Dairy Cottage

Bodle Street Green is about 6 miles from the historic town of Battle and the sandy coast at Pevensey Bay in 1066 Country. The area is rich in places to visit including Bodium, Hever and Pevensey castles. Herstmonceux Castle and Science Centre, Drusillas Zoo Park, Batemans House and gardens (the former home of Rudyard Kipling), many National Trust and English Heritage properties and beautiful gardens as well as the seaside towns of Hastings, Eastbourne and Brighton. Normans Bay [popular for water sports] is only 15 minutes away, and Glyndebourne [famous for its operas] is a 25-minute drive. The area has an abundance of small museums and numerous places of interest. There are many local walks, as well as the trails over the South Downs, and coarse fishing is available in season.
